alt:V started with controller plugged in will open escape menu in a loop #1639

Description of the problem

If you connect controller to your PC before starting alt:V, once the menu loads you will be stuck in a loop of escape menu (map, settings, info) opening and closing until you unplug the controller, from this menu you can also access social club menu which shouldn't be accessible and in that moment you are stuck and can't do anything (sometimes it opens by itself). You can also control the menu with the controller like moving around tabs.

Reproduction steps

  1. Connect controller to your PC
  2. Start alt:V
  3. See menu opening over and over again

Expected behaviour

No menus should be opened and everything should work nor.mally

Additional context

Tested with Dualshock 4 controller plugged in without any additional drivers installed like DS4 windows

This doesn't seem to occur if you plug in the controller after alt:V starts (after game is started and loading screen is shown)

Can't reproduce it on 13.0-dev38 with xbox controller

Confirmed on 12.17 - Got an old Logitech Rumble Controller and the same issue.

@xxshady Confirm the behavior on 13.0-dev49 - Still opens the menu if controller is connected on game start.

@liKe2k1 try on newest dev, maybe it got solved with the ui rework
