Trying to install AltStore on my iPad Pro 11 inch results in AltServer silently closing #823

AltServer silently crashes or closes upon trying to install AltStore. I have made sure that the mail plugin is enabled and that Mail is running but that is the result of my testing.

happens after I attempt to authenticate to install AltStore.

Device: M1 iPad Pro (11 inch) Mac: 2017 15 inch MacBook Pro (i7) macOS: Big Sur, 11.2.3

I have the same issue with AltServer 1.5b6 on Windows.

iPad Pro 11-inch M1 on iOS 15 beta 8 Windows 10 21H2

So what does it mean to silently close vs crash? Do you guys get the "Installing AltStore..." notification and then AltServer crashes during it?

I get the notification and shortly after AltServer disappears from the system tray without any kind of message. In Event Viewer there's an Application Error with code 0xc0000005 for AltServer.exe.

I don't get anything, at least in terms of a altserver crash. The log might have something, but yet again I'm running macOS.

I assume I would have the same problem with the Windows side as the reply you received indicates.

I don't get the prompt for Installing AltStore. I go to the drop down menu when it's running, go to my device I have hooked up via USB and and tell it to install AltStore, and it silently crashes shortly after I enter my information to authenticate it.
