Cannot connect headset on Linux #870

I cannot connect my headset with my linux pc(Fedora 35 KDE Xorg and Wayland tested), I also cannot open the settings menu to enable the addon because when I click settings nothing happens. Ive tried both the latest and the 1.14 release of steam vr as well as different versions of the alvr client(all version were of the nightly branch, tested 15.x and 16.0.0).

Any help would be appreciated!

Im also using the Oculus Quest 2, I also ultimitaly want to run with a wired cable.
