I see only a cube RGB rotating #42

Newbie here, followed all steps, i see only a cube RGB rotating.

On PC, ALVR Dashboard show in Trusted clients the "Wired headset" green "Streaming". SteamVR: green "Connected".

I have this type of logs, i don't know if correlated, i can post a full log but it's big.

It's expected i see the SteamVR dashboard, right? Thx

The device_anchor can only be queried when the world tracking provider is running.

Try pressing and holding the dial and the left button for a bit, then force close ALVR. Re-launch and see if it connects.

Sometimes regularly closing it and re-opening it will also do the trick.

I force close (in AVP) and restart a lots of time, also restart anything, nothing change. I always see the RGB cube. MacOS is the latest Sonoma, the latest xCode. Windows11 ALVR nightly, SteamVR has only "alvr_server" add-on enabled. Windows11 updated at max, Nvidia driver also (3080TI). I have a Pimax 8K with 2 Index Controller.

The real issue maybe SteamVR is always "in searching" of headset: https://www.clodo.it/host/images/e3220967c7fb2d3066d7fd0ff51c832b1afdfa73.png

I try to use OpenVR-SpaceCalibrator, but show only "oculus" and a Miramar device (?)

I just tested the ALVR nightly with Quest3, see the headset and works. I'm searching info to understand, but i don't see anything relevant in vrserver.txt.

I want to try ALVR on VisionPro without controller, for testing simracing.

Any suggestion? Thx

Make sure you have the headset resolution set to Medium or lower, it will fail to decode if it isn't

Edit: Notably, it says it's streaming, which means in the SteamVR headset view, it should actually be tracking head movements. So it's gotta be encoding settings that are the issue.

Thanks, tried lower and lowerest without success. I updated the post above with more info. You can write or post a screenshot of OpenVR-SpaceCalibration typical config? In ALVR, apart "lowest", other particular config? What refresh you use, 60? 75? 90? I follow your guide "Building" but i never find a guide of successive steps. Thx.

A quick question, can work (without controller of course) without OpenVR-SpaceCalibration? Only to understand where i can focus the troubleshooting.

Thank you anyway for the feedback above, I really respect you and can't wait to try this project.

Yes, Space Calibrator isn’t required to use ALVR with just the headset.

What refresh you use, 60? 75? 90?

The refresh rate should be 90.

Hi, i resolved my issue. Vision Pro > Settings > Apps > ALVRclient > Local Network was "off" by default, turned "on". I think this can be in the Building doc. I leave this issue open, but for me can be closed by moderators. Thanks to all!
