No thumbnails being generated after several months #11

I get that the uptime for generating thumbnail is not guaranteed, but I have been trying since last Dec and any movies added after last year never came with the movie poster. Is there something that can be done or does it have to do with new UI R18 had launched not long ago? I'm afraid of clearing the cache as the posters that I currently have are the ones with HD resolution

If you haven't updated your plugin, try that first. If you have, then you'll need to send me your log so I can see what might be going on (there are instructions for finding the log in the description). Thumbnails from R18 and other sources are working for me right now.

I appreciate you taking the time to look at my log files. Hopefully this helps to identify the issue. Also, are HD thumbnails no longer supported? com.plexapp.agents.jav18.log

It looks like you are using an old version of the plugin that no longer works anymore. Delete your PlexJav18.bundle folder and redownload/install it, and everything should work again. Since you're upgrading from such an old version, if you need to update a file's metadata, you might have to unmatch the file and rematch it first.

I'm seeing improvements on the metadata but I'll need to continue this during the weekends before I can say for certain that everything is working as expected. I saw one movie which was available on JAV database but failed to show up (No matches found by agent)

If you have titles that aren't being retrieved but you can find entries for them on the sites the agent scrapes (R18, JavDatabase, JavGuru, 141Jav, or OneJav), let me know what they are and I can try to figure out why they aren't working.

One of them that I've noticed was DDB-258 which can be found on JAVDatabase https://www.javdatabase.com/movies/ddb-258/ This was an issue until I discovered that I had an old library which still contains the metadata obtained from R18 and just manually recapture the films which didn't generate thumbnails in the past. Thanks in advance for looking into it anyway. Also, do you think it's possible to add a feature which exports/imports existing metadata which can be used as an archive in the future?

Searching with JavDatabase is disabled by default since its database seems heavily based on R18's, so it seemed redundant. However, it looks like they do have stuff R18 doesn't (probably mostly older stuff that's been hidden on R18), so, if you have stuff like that, you can enable jav database search by checking the "Search with JAV Database" box in your library preferences.

However, when testing this, I discovered that there actually was a bug with jav database search, so I just pushed a fix for it.

One thing to keep in mind with stuff that's ONLY found on Jav Database is that their images don't play nice with the image cropper for whatever reason, so if an image can't be found from another source, it will use the front and back covers together for the poster, not just the front cover.
