Using: GBAHawk 1.4
The emulator still accurately identifies which frames are lag frames, it just doesn't update the count displayed when you enable View > Display Lag Counter

Fixed in v1.5, along with a similar bug in the subGBAHawk core.
Note that v1.5 fixes a rather severe cpu bug also, so I reocmmend updating to v1.5.
