I have zkteco k40 but could not connect.

sorry I can't help you with that, since I don't have that type of machine. but for starter, you can check that you have all the requirements enabled in PHP, then the correct port number to connect to, etc.

The example does not even use connect variable

Can the library work with ZkUA300?
