Switching between chats is sluggish #183

Describe the bug Clicking on another chat to read messages takes more than 10 seconds to be executed.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Click on another chat and expect to see it
  2. Takes 15-50 seconds to switch chats

Expected behavior A clear and concise description of what you expected to happen:

  1. Click on another chat and immediately see it
