"Current time" has no definition or reference point, as mentioned similarly in another issue. A user's current time could easily change with respect to their timezones, but the InsureBook's internal time will remain constant.

Team's Response

Current time refers to the time on your system/timezone, which is standard throughout many productivity applications such as reminder apps. However, we will be more detailed in the future.

Reason for disagreement: Dear Developer Team,

Thank you for your response and for clarifying that "current time" refers to the time on the user's system or timezone. However, I must respectfully point out that this explanation overlooks a crucial distinction between a user's system time and their timezone, which could lead to potential misunderstandings.

  1. System Time vs. Timezone Variability: While it's true that "current time" often corresponds to the time on the user's system, it's essential to recognize that this may not always align with their timezone. Users may operate in different timezones or rely on the system's internal time, which could result in discrepancies between their system time and the time within InsureBook.

  2. Potential Confusion: By equating "current time" solely with a user's system time or timezone, we risk oversimplifying a complex issue and potentially misleading users. Without clear guidance on how InsureBook handles time, users may assume that their system time always reflects the system's time, leading to confusion and frustration.

  3. Importance of Specificity: Clarity in documentation is paramount, especially when addressing fundamental concepts like time. Providing explicit definitions and explanations ensures that users understand how time is managed within InsureBook, regardless of their geographic location or system configuration.

In light of these concerns, I urge you to reconsider the explanation provided and consider updating the Developer Guide to reflect the complexities of time management within InsureBook. By doing so, we can prevent potential misunderstandings and ensure a smoother user experience for all.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
