Clarification question: What is the difference between GUN and a blockchain? #1196

This is probably a better question for chat. The short answer is that Gun is an offline first, distributed CRDT database not a cryptocurrency. It is probably more similar to IPFS than it is to blockchain, if looking for a comparison. Either way, I recommend closing this issue out and asking in chat.
