all plugins using the itunes trailer xml seem to suffer from this. The root of
the
problem is in the xml i don't know if i can fix this but i will try. the
square's
you see btw indiciate that the font doesn't have the letter in question but
even if
you would have it doesn't look pretty then either.

this has been fixed by the external source right? i haven't seen these
cahracters in a while now

They are pretty clean now, yeah.
I've last seen the characters in Directors or Actors field in one of "Just
Added" movies (it was thursday or friday).
It might be another issue (like not properly cleaning those) but the end result
was the same (boxes).

Yesterday i updated the iTunes util again.. it's now using HTML parsing (with
help of HtmlAgilityPack) instead of XML parsing. This reduces a lot of problems
i had with the alleged XML produced by itunes.
