ChkTeX - Latest version is missing #151

The latest version of ChkTex is 1.7.9 while TeXLive installs 1.7.8. It has a known problem on MacOS and compilations with weird errors.

Here is the exact error

Compilation of regular expression \[(?![^\]\[{}]*{(?![^\]\[{}]*}))[^\]]*\[ failed with error repetition-operator operand invalid.

There's nothing I can do about this, since TeX Live Utility just installs whatever is provided by TeX Live. It looks like this will be fixed with next year's release:
