[Package Request] - lighttpd #254

What package is missing from Amazon Linux 2022? Please describe and include package name. The light webserver, lighthttpd, is missing from Amazon Linux 2022. The main webpage here: https://redmine.lighttpd.net/projects/lighttpd/wiki/GetLighttpd includes instructions for installing using the package in Fedora, including an optional openssl module for lighttpd.

Is this an update to existing package or new package request? New package request for AL2022.

Is this package available in Amazon Linux 2? This package was part of Amazon Linux 1, and is also included in the EPEL set of packages for RHEL/CentOS.

Number of users impacted Anyone using one of many systems build on Lightttpd, including pi-hole.

lighttpd is packaged on a very wide variety of platforms and distros. I am a lighttpd developer and can answer any questions if anything comes up with packaging for AL2022, though I do not think there will be any questions considering that lighttpd was already available in Amazon Linux 1.
