[Feature Request] - `Amazon Linux 2023 Minimal Container image` Any chance of backporting support of `localinstall` to AL2023 microdnf? #556

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. The current version of microdnf does not support localinstall. The dnf maintainers seem to have added this to DNF5, see https://github.com/rpm-software-management/microdnf/issues/20.

Would it be possible to backport this to the AL2023 minimal container image? Although it only seems to be available in the "new" DNF5.

Describe the solution you'd like Amazon Linux 2023 Minimal Container image microdnf supporting dnf localinstall (installing the RPM & its missing dependencies through microdnf)

Describe alternatives you've considered Waiting for AL2025, which hopefully supports DNF5 and with that localinstall in the container image.

As a workaround, you can createrepo_c and install from a repo.

While DNF5 is very unlikely to come to AL2023, the next major version of AL is where we'd certainly be considering it.
