[Package Request] - ftp (client) #806

What package is missing from Amazon Linux 2023? Please describe and include package name.

the simple and old ftp client (sorry if it was in other package, I cannot find it!!!)

Is this an update to existing package or new package request?

not available on base system, but is an old ftp client required for certain legacy systems

Is this package available in Amazon Linux 2? If it is available via external sources such as EPEL, please specify.

Is available on AL2 as ftp (yum install ftp)

Any additional information you'd like to include. (use-cases, etc)

Is to read legacy non SSL ftp servers.

if already exists in other package, please let me know, I was unable to find it!! Thank you in advance!!!

AL2023 provides lftp which is like ftp but better. Why duplicate same functionality!?

curl will also do FTP
