Soundflowerbed exits after launch (10.5.8 - intel MBP)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. start Soundflowerbed
2. watch menu item appear
3. menu item disappears again as the program exits without dialog.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Normally the program should stay open as a menu item, now it just disappears.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.2.1 / 1.4.3 / 1.5.0 / 1.5.1 all exhibit this
MacBook Pro (intel core2duo) Mac OS 10.5.8

Please provide any additional information below.
This issue was raised in apr 2009 already when still using Mac 10.5.6 but
it got merged with a PPC related issue. So I am raising it again in the
hope to get any feedback about it.

Aditional notes:
- soundflower works properly (checking with Audio Hijack/iTunes) only 
Soundflowerbed
is the problem
- the error seems identical across all versions.
- the steps to reproduce also include
installing-rebooting-launching-uninstalling-rebooting

Don't know if this will help, but you can try it. The issue in another report 
seems related (core 2 duo processors), may not work, but it's worth a try. Look 
for the post's I just made (compare time stamps with this comment).
