We offer the user a clear command to delete this data, so it is barely a hindrance. Furthermore, it is quite commonplace for applications to come with some sample data for the user to see the format of the data and how the interface of the application looks like when in normal use. We do not think that this is an issue because the user can clear it very quickly, and since it is common practice.

On first boot up with no pre-existing data file, application starts with some sample data as shown:
This is unnessecary and in fact may be a hindrance to users since the entries are not theirs, they will have to remove all the entries before use.
There is also no indication that the data shown is from a sample file, which may leave users confused about where the entries came from, and also no prompt for users to delete the sample data if they want to start use.
