I'll do North/South Carolina, Adventure Scientists, and Spotteron.
I've started OR, I'll do ID and UC-Davis also--actually it will end up being CROS database, I think that is what the UC Davis REC uses to get their hotspot data.
@lc63 I just saw this comment, and I just finished CROS! I hope I didn't duplicate your efforts. I also did Utah, which was simple. I'll work on Vermont next.
@cmcd77 I of course got distracted and didn't finish. No duplication here!
Roadkill Datasets.xlsx Here is my analysis of VT (terrible), ME (iNaturalist based), CA (incredibly specific!) and UT.
So, it turns out that the cougar data was housed in a report that studies Colorado cougar ecology. I extracted the data from the PDF using Tabula (wow! it's the best). Here is the raw data: ColoradoCougarEncounters.xlsx **I'll clean it later and write up a procedure for that. source report
I cleaned the Black Bear Roadkill Data from Florida, in that I put in descending order by date. Black_Bear_RoadkillByDecDate.xlsx I will finish the dictionary and common variables in today and put them in the master.
