It would be nice to list the variable names (column headers) in the metadata for the example dataset that is protected. I cannot figure out the right metadata language to use for the. Pretty minor issue.

Can you explain a little more what you mean about protected data?

Oh yeah- data that is available only by request from the owner (like HerpMapper and Adventure Scientists). Fo those we can only include a metadata records that points to their contact webpage.

would this be an option dc:accessRights?

@lc63 I think the metadata is still within our three choices for dc:accessRights, but the data is not, and that is why it isn't ingested. Does that sound right?
