I think we should use CKAN since it is already used by many governments and I think government data will be the easiest to access and use. Private group data can also be added.

I agree! I don't think our data has usage rights limitations that would prevent them from being published openly.

I'm on board with CKAN as well, It seems stable, modular, extensible, and our data isn't so highly technical that we would need something specific to science (Fedora).
