Hi, I have Micromax A100 (Canvas 1) and rooted it. I want to take Online Nandroid backup. In this case do I need to install any patch file like it require for CANVAS 2? My device is not listed in your following listings

https://github.com/ameer1234567890/OnlineNandroid/wiki/Supported-Devices

Further how do I start? Do I need to download Online Nandroid from google play and start backup? Is that simple?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards Pramod

I got the image now. Information about your device is rare on the internet. Would you be able to direct me to a place where I can obtain information about partition layout for that device? A scatter file would just be fine.

This is not the information I need. I need to know about the partition layout.

PDKMMXA100 commented 11 years ago

I am trying to get the information, however not able to get it. Just came across this article for finding the partition layout. However I am not getting how to move further. Can you guide me to know the partition layout.

http://www.all-things-android.com/content/review-android-partition-layout

Initially I had LG P500 with manufacturer supplied 2 GB microsd card inbuilt in device. All the basic files with .file extension and android folder were written by LG on 2 GB card only. I copied all the content of 2 GB card and pasted it in my 16 GB samsung microsd card. This card is now I am using in Micromax A100 and all my apps and games (up to 2GB size are on microsd card only). The internal memory of my micromax a100 i.e. 1.3 GB which is completely blank and there is no other folder except "Lost.dir". This folder is also blank. So I have all internal memory of 1.3GB free. All files and folder's and everything is on my external memory card of 16gb.

In short I did not require to Swap my internal memory of 1.3GB with that of my external card memory so that I can play or rather install big size games. It happen automatically as I copied all content from LG supplied 2gb card to my 16 gb card.

Does this have any role in not getting correct partition layout?. Till now I have rooted my phone and flashed CMWrecovery 6.0 (This is provided on various sites include XDA for micromax a100). Then I created 128 MB size partition with Swapper app. This CWM recovery file also seems not working correctly, as I am unable to take Nandroid backup with this. The backup file size is only 28 MB. Further while navigating through interface, it is not stable. I tried searching my device in ROM manager, but it does not identify it. Only device provided is Micromax A110.

Pls guide.

Thanks & regards Pramod

Hi, your best bet would be to ask a developer who does ROMs, kernels, etc... for your device.

PDKMMXA100 commented 11 years ago

Hi, from Terminal Emulator, I got this response after running onandroid command. Pls find attached Pic. This is just for your info. Any way I will connect with Aftab who has developed Killer Droid ver2 ROM for micromax a100. However since my posts are less than 10, I am unable to reach him at the moment.
