I think its a really interesting project and was considering using it (maybe making a small REST interface for it). Have you considered licensing it as a free software project?

Hey, I can definitely stick a license on it sometime later today, I was just using it as a component of a website I made so I wasn't thinking about licensing issues for others. You might also want to check out http://imdbpy.sourceforge.net/ which I found out about later, which does something similar and is a bit more mature.
