Notes on analytics:
Safest bet is to self-host something open source. Most convenient, somewhat safe bet would be to not self-host, but use something open source, and hopefully it's got a free tier.
Docker has a pretty neat style of cookie banner (is it even a banner?) https://docs.docker.com/get-started/
Randomly stumbled across this, not sure whether it's still relevant. But to my understanding, the button shown above does not qualify as a cookie banner, as it does not prominently and explicitly ask for consent or inform the user. It's good to have, but it probably wouldn't be enough to keep the lawyers away.

I've been putting this off because there isn't really an active userbase yet, but it's still relevant. This is a good point, hiding the cookie settings behind a button that doesn't actually show an explanation without clicking on it is probably not good enough. I hadn't thought of that
Removed cookies from this issue because we no longer use cookies for analytics.
Not sure what's all important here, but users can create their own topics and we're storing that data, so we should look into what policies are needed.
