Fixed compatibility change with ARDUINO_SAMD_SMARTEVERYTHING (no _FOX) #7

Didn't work with some SmartEverything boards because they do not have ARDUINO_SAMD_SMARTEVERYTHING_FOX declared

searobin commented 7 years ago

Are you sure this fix is required?

If you take the latest Smarteverything board library, it should already work. Please try installing the following board: 'Arrow Boards by Axel Elettronica S.r.l.' Versions >= 2.1.0'

Please let me know.

I followed the instructions. Not completely sure which version it was. I can check it next week. But I dont see how the code can harm, though. If did the trick for me, so why not for others as well

Yes. sure, but it could be possible this version of the board lib can be removed in the next future.

In any case, thanks a lot for your contribution.

Hi,

I just tried to change board, but all I have is this:

BN: Smart Everything Fox (Native USB Port) VID: 2341 PID: E002 SN: Upload any sketch to obtain it

How can I choose another?

Regards Søren

Arduino IDE: Tools -> Board Manager ... -> Look for "SmartEverything"

You will find 2 entries: Amel-tech and Arrow Boards.

I suppose you have installed the first one. In this case please remove it and install the Arrow Board library. then you will have to select the fox board from the installed board list

stnorthern commented 7 years ago

Okay. Thanks! How do I know what version I have? Fox one or three? It sais version 3 on the board but just fox. Did you find any updated documentation for it?

I think you have FOX.

FOX3 does not have sensors on board, just GPS, BLE and Sigfox.
