Normal Touchscreen Interface Support #165

I am requesting that normal touchscreen support be patched into Google TV.  
Right now the only barrier to my company integrating Google TV into every 
single one of our projects is that Google TV does not have the ability to treat 
a touchscreen like android normally does.

If Google TV had touchscreen support we would be able to afford to use 4 or 5 
Google TV's instead of a single windows computer.

Television screens do not have touch capabilities. Google TV uses dpad and 
motion (mouse like) intactions. Developers can make small modifications to 
their application to support Google TV such as making touch required = false. 
Additionally you can build a second screen application that interacts with a 
Google TV application to support something close to "touch".

Funny, I have a television that is touch screen capable.  We also have a ton of 
clients who have touch screen capable televisions.

If this functionality will not get patched in then me and my team will attempt 
to hack it in.  If that does not work we will move on to a different product 
and not integrate google tv into our development pipeline.
