If Google doesn't want to fix this, at the very least they need to stop
advertising HBO Go as supported on the Google TV website, which is false
advertising at this point.

I completely agree with #1 thisnukes4u! HBO Go was a MAJOR influence in my
decision to purchase a GTV STB instead purchasing another similar device
(i.e., Roku, etc). Google SHOULD know they are committing fraud by
fraudulently advertising HBO Go as one of their content providers!!! Google is
a marketing machine; therefore, I shouldn't say, "They SHOULD know" because
they DEFINITELY know they're fraudulently advertising (HBO Go)!!!
Sony and HBO have, both, told me the issue is with Google and NOT with them. I
don't understand why Google has given-up on GTV, period, never mind given-up on
its original content providers!!! This seems like it should be a very easy
fix, maybe a day or two's worth of code!!! The HBO Go app works on EVERY other
Android (phone/tablet); therefore, it should work on GTV. However, developing
a dedicated, native app is probably HBO's responsibility, but Google could at
least revert to the previous Chrome version so we can use HBO Go again!
Google had a major head start in the living-room sector, as the GTV was miles
ahead of any similar products (with the PrimeTime/TV app, Chrome browser,
Netflix, HBO Go, Amazon VOD/Prime, YouTube, etc)! Now, Google is miles behind,
as the X-Box should be able to do just as much (as GTV), and it will probably
do it all better, as it'll have the latest hardware; plus, Apple is SERIOUSLY
stepping-up its game with the additions of HBO Go and Watch ESPN, and, not to
mention, Apple allows its users to enjoy other apps via AirPlay.
Google should implement a similar function, such as the function we can use to
"fling" YouTube videos from phones/tablets to our GTV's. The technology is
there; Google just needs to open-up its wallet! Mirrorcast is a failor!
Invest in, and design, something to compete with AirPlay; something reliable!
My Samsung TV allows me to mirror my phone's screen, and it's only a TV, not a
STB!!! I would use my TV, but that involves switching inputs, which will cause
me to lose surround sound, as everything is connected through the GTV, as that
was another MAJOR influence for me CHOOSING to purchase it...1 remote control
to control EVERYTHING; plus, the GTV integrates cable's content with the
content of Netflix, HBO Go (NOT ANYMORE), Amazon VOD, etc (one simple search
searches all content providers instead of having to search each individually
[you can always download the "Can I Stream It" app on your phone/tablet, but
that involves a few extra steps instead of just searching a title via the GTV
player)]!!!
And, we, GTV fans, still CAN'T enjoy the likes of Hulu, and now we can't even
enjoy HBO Go!! Plus, we can't use the Chrome browser to watch MAX Go anymore
since they last updated the browser!! I understand HTML is the way of the
future, but at least support Flash until EVERYONE jumps on board with
HTML...stop punishing us for being loyal!!!
Step it up Google and stop scroogling us!! GTV has SO MUCH potential...it's
just waiting for you, Google, to give it some TLC, and so are we GTV users
(waiting for some TLC). I can't stand the thought of having to switch to MS'
X-Box just so I can enjoy the BASICS!!! Please don't make me switch; I am
EXTREMELY invested in the Google environment, and it would be a SHAME to have
to re-invest in another OS/company!!!

I bought my Google TV in part for this. I really would like to see it get
fixed... or at least a response.

Seems like they dropped it altogether, as they are NO LONGER advertising it
(HBO Go) anymore. Jelly Bean better bring some major improvements, or I'm
gone...

At least give us the flash option again if you're not going to add ChromeCast
support anytime soon! Something is better than nothing!
