No new apps and old apps are not functioning properly, i think this is the
worst sector of Google.

I wonder if we can buy a Android pc USB device and plug it into a USB or Home
port on our TV to have it updated to the latest operating system.

I haven't had a chance to test this yet, but I've read that sideloading the
latest beta Chrome apk onto Jelly Bean Google/Android TV devices works.
Reports are that it doesn't work on Honeycomb devices.

As a follow-up to my previous comment, I tested sideloading Chrome beta onto an
LG 55GA7900 and it works mostly without issue. The screen rotation was
sideways, but an app from the Play store to lock it into landscape resolved the
issue.

Same issue with the Sony NSZ GT1. The problem is the Flash Player in Chrome.
Not compatible with Xfinity On Demand but there's no way for force an update as
I can in FireFox, Safari, IE, well, you get the picture. Android updates
endlessly on my Samsun Galaxy SIII but not at only on the Sony.
So, is this an issue with Sony or Google? If Google, are you 1) dropping
support for Google TV or 2) are you favoring certain manufacturers like Samsung
over others like Sony. If Sony, that's another forum.
