Emulator should support Mac/Windows #28

I want to develop for Google TV as an emulator. However i dont have a linux box.

If you want google tv to succeed you need apps. If you want apps you need easy
dev tools.
Thats not provided currently.

Please describe the feature you're requesting in as much detail as
possible.

If you're an application developer and are requesting new APIs, please
include sample code showing how you are proposing the API should be used.

In that case it will be good to also support Windows for the Emulator too.

Release a Google TV version for the x86 PC. Currently there are several people
that have PC's connected to the TV so it can be interesting to offer them an
alternative to use Google TV instead of Windows.

This can be done by several alternatives.
- Option 1: Running Google TV over Windows (Similar to BlueStacks -
bluestacks.com/)
- Option 2: Running Google TV like a LiveCD, USB Memory Flash or Dual Boot on
x86 machines.

An initiative like this will also allow the people to test and know Google TV
without the need to buy a specialized device, so anybody with a PC can try it
out. It will help Google TV to reach the masses :)

Can we get a status update for this issue? I understand that the emulator
wouldn't have been completed overnight, but it is now 2013. The APIs for 4.1
and 4.2 have been released since the inception of this issue, yet there is
still no Windows/Mac GTV addon - developers are aching for this kind of support.

These public bug trackers never get updated.

As in, there are no updates along the way? Or it will never get completed? (or
both?)
