Monk units aren't preventing spread of religion #5

Enjoying your mod!

I tried to use a Warrior Monk and a Shaolin Monk in and next to a city to prevent the AI from spreading their religion. Neither position of the unit prevented the spreading of an opposing religion. The spread of the foreign religion was done by a Missionary unit, and I wasn't near their holy city.

The city was constructed by me, in case that matters. I haven't tried it on any other cities yet.

ok, gonna look into this and hopefully will fix it with the CS overhaul things.

After some testing, I conclude that wm and shaolin do prevent spreading of foreign religion, but it will not IF it's a natural spread. Make sure to place your wm or shaolin inside a city or next to it., like the image below.

That is how I had them. I could have sworn there was a missionary next to the city, then it disappeared a turn later when I noticed the spread. I do feel foreign religion spreads to easily. The city in question had two nearby cities that were of my home religion as well. The next closest city with a foreign religion were across an inner sea about 6 hexes away.

I trust in your testing though.

Thank you for looking into it, I'll go back to using them.

Thanks for your consideration. next time if you get the same issue I hope you can attach the save file so that I can look into it.

I do feel foreign religion spreads to easily.

maybe the foreign religion has Religious Text belief as an enhancer and/or the owner of the religion is Red Moon as their NA help them spread their religion naturally.

I'll do that. I'm playing on an Android, and have a file viewing app, but I think it's filtering the view of files on the device. Do you happen to know where saved games are located on Android?

Before android 12, it is located in the game folder, inside SaveFiles. or you can tap Load Game from the main menu > select the desired save > copy to clipboard, then paste it into notepad or any other text app
