This project has been deprecated and replaced by newer projects. It is no longer actively maintained but remains available for reference. A club management system that handles student details, progress, events, achievements, attendance, status updates, teams and workshop registrations. This is the official FOSS@Amrita website.
The objective here is to create a custom-made dashboard for admins(at the moment), which will contain different sets of features which will improve the user interactivity and improve productivity for the admins.
This allows the user/admin to monitor every kind of movements that are done using this dashboard, which will also act as a monitoring system.
After implementation this dashboard looks something like this:
Let me list down certain features that this dashboard will be having:
Notification section: Any kind of notification regarding any activities will be shown here.
Monitor: This act as a monitor for every item/things that the site deals with. For instance, clicks/public interaction monitorization could be done with this.
Graphs : Graphs on items, on the regularity of status updates, tasks done, hits and other things that we need to keep a track of.
Stats: This shows the stats of items that we are interested to view in.
Open Projects: This can show all the projects that amfoss is dealing with, even could show the issues in certain parts of the website for instance and it's progress as such.
Members: This area shows the members of Foss@Amrita.
Activity: We are planning to integrate RSS feeds. We would see if we could integrate other feeds of form as tweets, FB post or anything and in this section, we will show that activity and when the feed integration is done, we could see if we could make this activity viewable on that page as well.
This was the overall landing page for the Dashboard for the admin controls.
Now we would be added other features enlisting in the left side of the wireframe I have shared like a navigation bar.
Here are the few features that I'm looking forward to add into this.
Inbox: This section will handle the official email of foss@amrita. This section is planned as some email bounce handler, an inline email viewer.
This will also help in refactoring the email mechanism we have currently.
Contacts: Integration of all contacting details of every member of FOSS club which will be a help in coming future for various things.
Schedule calender : All sorts of schedule calendar and automated scripts running across this according to the calendar to give updates to all the active members.
EyeOver: This section will keep track of all the members, their whereabouts, and their activities through feeds all around the internet. (This is quite complex to implement, but still be we could try to implement. I don't know, we might need to have machine learning/deep learning techniques to implement this)
