vrecord support for BlueFish444 #723

I recently had a virtual run-in with Craige Mott of BlueFish and mentioned vrecord. He said he's be interested in having vrecord work with the BlueFish ingeSTore platform. I'm not sure exactly if that makes sense at all, but it seems like the more vendors we can get on the vrecord train the better.

Is anyone interested in having vrecord support for this platform? Is anyone here using BlueFish that would be able to be a test bed for this? @stephenmcconnachie ?

I'm definitely interested as we use Ingestor with BlueFish cards for all our videotape transfer workflows and a VRecord integration sounds great. Only problem is, our BluFish use is 100% Windows ecosystem, and we don't run any videotape capture with Mac or Linux machines. Not to say we couldn't set up a test station, possibly - but I'd have to ask colleagues in the video team if that's feasible. The Norwegian archive - Lars Gustaud - is also using BlueFish, maybe they are running on Mac..?

If I remember carefully, BlueFish runs on AVID Media Composer under macOS.

*support I will be e-meeting Craige soon - is there anything I should ask him about this issue?

Hi! We don't use VRecord for our videotape workflow for a few intractable reasons - but it would certainly be a positive if it could be supported.

Craige Mott tells me BlueFish do not support vrecord due to not being able to support a particular Linux driver.
