This notification should not be too obtrusive because some users might
actually connect to a server that is not on the local Wi-Fi network.

It would also be nice to show a more prominent link to the troubleshooting 
guide when there is a 
connection error.  Perhaps an overlay for the XML layouts containing the error 
message, a link to the 
troubleshooting guide, and a button to dismiss the error.
