won't connect, gives a java.lang.nullpointerexception warning #117

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. trying to connect to the VLC server

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
every time i turn on the app or try to connect from the settings
window something pops up that says "java.lang.nullpointerexception"

What version of VLC Remote are you using?
just downloaded it today

What version of VLC are you using?
1.1.11 fully updated and everything

What version of Android are you using?
gingerbread 2.3.5, the latest

Which Android device are you using?
samsung galaxy sII t-mobile

Please provide any additional information below.
