Volume and seek bar do not update/function

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install version later than 0.3.6
2. Open and connect to server

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
- It is expected that the seek bar and volume bar show the current position and 
are usable.
- Instead the volume and seek bar do not update and remain at 0 and can not be 
used and do not update.

What version of VLC Remote are you using?
Any version past 0.3.6

What version of VLC are you using?
1.1.6 but the issue is also present on all previous versions

What version of Android are you using?
2.1-update1

Which Android device are you using?
ZTE Blade/Orange San Francisco

Please provide any additional information below.
I am quite sure it is to do with the phone/android version as other phones work 
as expected. However all the previous versions of VLC Remote upto and including 
0.3.6 work but after they don't so something must have also changed in the 
app...?

hmm, having the same problem here after updating to vlc 2.0 (os=ubuntu 11.10, 
android=4.0.3 galaxy nexus).

controlling time and volume works fine, but both bars are not updating. both 
are staying at the setting i gave them through the phone.

don't know how you could reproduce the bug though.

btw. i checked with the http interface through the browser, where seek and 
volume are  working as they should.
