0.4.1 Worked for three days and is now completely broken again.

Just like other users, Blocktube broke for me. Waited for 0.4.1 to come out and it fixed everything for about half a week. Today I'm seeing that my filter list is completely empty, blocking channels through the UI and the list manually don't work, and it's letting channels I've already blocked through entirely. No settings were changed between it working vs not, not even a PC restart took place between working vs not. Firefox wasn't closed between working and not during this process until after it was broken as an attempt to fix it. I'll provider whatever other information you need to work on this, but currently Blocktube is completely and totally broken with no functions working at all.

Update: Restarting the PC got my filter list to appear again and is blocking everything that was already listed. The context menu is still entirely broken and adding things manually still doesn't work, so I'm unable to add anything new to the block list.

It would be good if the extension printed some debug to the console to see if it's working. The list is also empty for me, blocking channels from youtube's drop down menu that shows after clicking on a video's hamburger button doesn't add the channel to the list. If I enable the option to also ask youtube to stop recommending the channel, it does it, so part of the functionality is there.

@amitbl - Something to think about is ... If google is going to be F'ing with addons like this with frequent changes to Youtube, what about publishing a guide on how you are figuring out what they are changing and how you are updating your addon... maybe others can step in and figure it out to help you update. Crowdsource it. I know we can do a fork, but I was thinking more of a community effort to help you instead of forking. Also, a guide on how to install the addon update from git instead of from mozilla after waiting for it to be approved... that took a couple weeks.

An excellent first step to this would be getting a debug log to post here when experiencing issues like @forestrf mentioned. Currently the extension is giving me no information as to what's going on so I'm not able to help any more than my initial post. 'Glad' to see others experiencing this issue as well though. Sucks YouTube keeps updating this frequently but I'm slightly relieved it's not an issue on my end.

Installed 0.4.2 and still wasn't getting the content blocked. It was at this point I realized my settings had been lost. I restored a backup from last month and tried again, now it works. If you're still having trouble, please make sure your settings are intact- and if they are, back them up immediately working or not

Are you sure you've pushed it through to FF's or is the delay on their end? The delay is atypical when comparing it to previous releases (version history) that all went live on the same day as elsewhere. Just wondering if perhaps you forgot?

Firefox user and still haven't received an update for Blocktube yet, checked manually yesterday and today. Just wanted to add to @deeplyshocked 's sentiment and inform others that it hasn't been pushed to FF for others as well.

Interesting. So the FF "store" is simply lying on when they actually push the newer version. it says updated five days ago now, while we know that isn't the case. Oh well, at least it's in the store now.
