Hello,
At the moment there is not much that I can do to help you, other than suggest
that you follow the wiki guidelines on how to extract a readonly copy of Raptor
and run from eclipse.
Looks like the latest version of MacOSX behaves different than its predecessors
and I have no way to test the installer on Yosemite.
Probably a stupid question, but did you test that the installed version of Java
actually runs? (e.g. in a Terminal enter the command "java -version" and see
what happens) On Maverick, by default only signed applications are allowed to
run, so even if one would download and install Java, the OS still would not run
it until it is told to trust the application.

Ok, did some googling and came up with several forum threads where people are
complaining about the combination of Yosemity and Java (e.g.
http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1803947)
Looks to be more complicated than I hoped for, but this is clearly a problem
with your environment, not with Raptor. Perhaps one of the workarounds given in
those forums may be of help to you.
Regards.

Well. I did the terminal, said there was no Java installed. But I've installed
it, and when I got to the Java site and do a check, it tells me I have the
latest and greatest Java installed. I'm not the smartest with computers, and
brand new to Mac, any more advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Got it-
If anyone else needs it, found this:

Went to the link to get the Apple version (close to the top). That one seems
to work.
