Sticky scroll in VS Code's File Trees — Amit Merchant — A blog on PHP, JavaScript, and more

Today, I became a year older when I learned that VS Code’s File Tree has a sticky scroll feature. I mean, I never realized I would need this feature until I used it.

I didn’t know about it, either, until the January 2024 VS Code update, in which it apparently came enabled — or, at least, it did in my VS Code installation. Thanks for the info! Always appreciate your articles.

Edit: It’s also entirely possible that I accidentally triggered it through some overly quick manipulation of keystroke shortcuts (although, after seeing how it lined up in the settings. I’m unsure how that could’ve happened).
