Access Control and site-map #509

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
We need to re-test access control to check that products are visible on a
site-map for allowed customers.

Please, test it both on 1.4.2.0 and 1.5 M. releases.

Tested on /mageimage/ Magento ver. 1.5.0.1
category_access_control 1.0.2.3 (stable)
------------------------
Test OK

and

/magedev/ Magento ver. 1.4.2.0
category_access_control 1.0.2.3 (stable)
More Work

Right after I installed Access control extension, I got this err:
Your web server is configured incorrectly. As a result, configuration files
with sensitive information are accessible from the outside. Please contact your
hosting provider.

Front page shows this err:

Installation of the extension is broken on 1.4.2.0

I don't see our control in catalogue settings. I could happen by two reasons:
we don't support 1.4.2 or something went wrong.

It should be a compelling reason if we are to give up on 1.4.2 support.

Need to re-test it on clean M. 1.4.2.0 installation.

Works OK for me on local machine. Atanas, can you please re-install it on clean
1.4.2.0 installation?

Reinstalled /magedev/ but ended up with a 1.4.1.1. Magento version.
Waiting for a 1.4.2 instance to be set up so that I can test this.

hidden products and categories are excluded from the sitemap for unauthorized
users.

Do you see not hidden products and categories in the sitemap?

Yep. You can try it yourself here:
http://ec2-174-129-95-130.compute-1.amazonaws.com/mageimage/index.php/catalog/se
o_sitemap/product/
http://ec2-174-129-95-130.compute-1.amazonaws.com/magedev/index.php/catalog/seo_
sitemap/product/

I allowed access to one of the two categories only to registered users. So, you
should be able to see half the products on the sitemap when logged out and the
full list of products when logged in as any user.
I made one product appear in both categories. That one appears in the sitemap
regardless.
