“PiP” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software #35

I get the following error when I try to run the program:

I've tried downloading it through homebrew and manually

This just occured for me as well. This was a fresh install of the app (never used it before) via homebrew. brew install --cask amitv87-pip

Is the app not notarised?

System: Macbook M2 Pro Sonoma 14.4.1 (Darwin 23.4.0)

The app is not notarised and as of now there are no plans to do it.
