sipdroid for Android-x86 #512

When attempting to install sipdroid 1.5.2, I receive the error:

Application not installed
Sipdroid could not be installed on this phone.

I understand that Android x-86 is not a standard ROM, but is it possible to 
modify the install intruction set in the apk to include this build of Android?

I have all versions of sipdroid available for download with the same results.
