I cannot get it working on my new galaxy nexus either. The error is
Registration Failed (400 Bad Request).

I got it to work over 3G (not wifi, yet).
Installed sipdroid version 2.4. Clicked "set up new pbxes with google voice"
button at the bottom of the screen. Signed in with my google voice account.
Settings > Use 3G
Made a phone call and it worked. (although I get 0.6Mbps down and 1mpbs up at
my house...dismal 3G)
So I naturally wanted to use wifi but I get "Error: Codecs Incompatibly". I'm
searching for a solution. Will post again with any updates.
On VZW Galaxy Nexus running ICS 4.0.2

Confirmed that WIFI has codec incompatibility issues. The 3g worked fine!

It works fine with my GSM Nexus. But I don't hear the person on the other side,
while I am heard well.

Sliding the big calling box to answer or end calls frequently (60%) has no
effect. Many times you miss calls if you attempt to do it this way or are
unable to end a call.
Get-around:
When the phone is ringing or in call:
tap the action overflow (three dots) and select answer or end call. End call
may be hidden under more...

Using a galaxy nexus and everything seems to work besides video calling. Got a
force close on that one.

Did you get it to work over WIFI? I'm still getting Codes Incompatibility..
If yours works can you please post your settings:
Port
Protocal
WLAN and 3G obviously, EDGE?
Audio Codecs
etc.
Thanks

using a WiFi connection.

Please check if issue is fixed by attached update. The error is a bit difficult
to reproduce. With your OK I would like to upload it to market.

With vers 2.5: still receiving codecs incompatibility message over wifi when
placing calls despite successful login (green dot as always)
works over 3/4g

For peace of mind: Sipdroid works the same for 4.0.4 if you upgrade.

^ xda or ota? i just want one ota in my life... thats why i got a nexus... but
its very tempting.
(sorry for spamming everyone else with this side note)
w/ 2.5 I seem to be experiencing better call pickup and hangup by dragging
although I can't say for sure.

Thanks for testing. I've made a new attempt. Does that work better?
@harald: Does 4.0.4 show the same issue or is it resolved with the Android
update?

Similar issues here. Galaxy Nexus Android 4.0.1.
Audio quality is fine on 3G, but is so choppy on wifi that it is unusable.
No noticeable improvement with sipdroid-2.5-1.

Harald told me that 4.0.4 still has the same incompatibility with Sipdroid. So
I continued to search and finally found the reason for the codec error on Wifi.
Please check.

Hey, there is some progress!
However, when I use Wi-Fi behind firewall I have trouble with sound coming in
from the Internet. Either there is no sound, or it is going in and out in
crackling half a second periods, or it is high speed donald duck mixed with no
sound.
2.4 beta on Froyo works fine from the same location.

Removed and installed that same latest sipdroid 2.5 beta. First call on wifi
had no incoming sound, then everything works
sliding the box to answer/hang up works, too
it's pretty awesome now! I have no complaints

Same issue as comment #8: sliding animated answer box freezes resulting in
inability to answer call 60+% of the time. Galaxy Nexus 4.04 with Sipdroid 2.5
beta.
More:
Even when drag up to answer animates correctly it is sometimes not possible to
answer because the box slides back down on its own.
How about allowing a user to answer with a single finger press ( or a two
finger press to prevent an unwanted in-pocket answer)
I have not other issues running Sipdroid with.ICS

I have the same problem as:
Reported by jamez243, Dec 1, 2011
Does not work with android 4.0 takes up 1/4 the screen only
Running Verizon Samsung Google Galaxy Nexus 4.0.2
This is the second app that is only 1/4 of the screen and uninstalling and
reinstalling are not fixing it.
Has anyone figured out why?

Bad news for Android 4 wifi calls: inbound calls to mobile behind firewall have
over 50% probability of no incoming audio or bidirectional garbled audio.
Android 3 at same location flawless. Android 4 on lte flawless.
Android 4 on wifi after long time still gets not responding os prompt with wait
or kill options
displayed size and box sliding works for me. 4.0.4 lte hardware
Could we have the beta version marker uniquely numbered or timestamped, please?
Dudes in comments 28 and 29 may be on an older beta...

A different App Dev, OpenSignalMaps, told me that I should let SIPDroid know
that using API level 13 instead of 14 should fix this screen problem. I have
the same exact issue with that app. Their claim is that Level 14 has nothing
special in it. For both apps (and now a few more) it worked initially, then
after a random reboot, it went to the 1/4 screen.
My question is who do we notify and how do we test this out.
