This radio's MCU is a bit too underpowered to consider OpenRTX, but it is certainly a good thing to look at for ideas and references.

What MCU is there? As Beken chip has FSK modem, I was considering making it a nice USB modem or expose SPI + GPIO over USB/serial protocol to control it from Python (as you can control various RF SPI modems using prolific SPI over USB adapter.
