Fake AM modulation #14

Hello! I compare this radio with real AM modulation TRX (FT817). My conclusion: AM switch does not change anything in TX and RX demodulated sound. I am not seeing AM modulation option in the BK48196 datasheet. Did you test this feature?

The AM demodulation is there from the factory, and it is achieved by "hacking" FM demodulation to set a low deviation to be able to sort-of hear AM signals. None of the firmware modifications really "enable" some kind of proper AM demodulation. Also, as of yet, there is no AM TX.

For the record -- BK4819 is an FM-only chip.
