Fixes the following issues:

Removed fixed thumbnail buffer size in favor of flexible size (thanks to @amnweb)
Fixed thumbnail scaling for rectangular thumbnails
Reduce PIL log pollution (on DEBUG)
Catch media property errors in function itself
