Modal not showing in Bootstrap 3 #35

I am having difficulty opening the modals in bootstrap 3. Right now the problem is that the div class has the class hide and in bootstrap 3, a modal with a class hide is, well, hidden. In bootstrap 2.3.2, it was shown....

Bootstrap 3 is currently unsupported, with no current plans for support. However, I am welcoming contributors for bootstrap 3 porting.
