Well, I will have a look when I will be done with OTR.

But that feature can be """easily""" added for Jabber/XMPP, but to make it works with Hangouts is another story... If you really need it for Hangouts, currently the best solution would be to use the android google hangouts app. I have seen on Crackberry that it should work. As for Hg10, I will do it for Jabber/XMPP at some point, and for hangouts I had some idea with the javascript API, but I don't like so much the overhead of that method... well, let's see.

For XMPP, I know I can do it.

But I will need to hide it to the Hangouts user, otherwise I will get plenty of complains... (as the standard method does not work with hangouts)

I would also love to see group chats for XMPP (HG10 seems to be the only way to get HipChat on BlackBerry)!

I just installed for a hangouts replacement. The colbalts method has it's drawbacks including long loading times of the messages (history esp). I am a group chat user so I do find that important and think you shouldn't try to bridge 2 networks on your side - either do it xmpp style or hangouts style - don't try to make them work together as this is more than the client should do.
