Hello, How to remove HG10 form the hub ? I uninstalled the application but does not remove hub. I tried Accounts Cleaner but I have the same problem. I removed and reinstalled but now I have 2 HG10 in hub?!?!

thanks

Hello

I am afraid that you are one of the unlucky ones... Don't reinstall it, it will only get worse.. When that happens, I afraid the only solution is to wipe the phone...

I am really sorry. I don't know why that happens, after removing an app the OS should delete everything. But for some reason it doesn't.

Sorry

EDIT: please do NOT use account cleaner to solve this! If you do so, I cannot help you!

This is a bug that have many users, after months you have not yet solved, it is not professional to say to clean the phone. but you joking?

Serious programmer does not respond to cancel phone memory, this is opensource junk software.

Be glad someone is doing the effort of developing a native application. The developer is not in control of solving this issue as it's probably a BB10 core bug and should be solved by BlackBerry. This happens to other hub application as well.

If you think the developer can do something about it, help him out and provide information with how he can solve the issue. Or better, solve it yourself and do a pull request! At least that would be helpful and constructive.

Has a solution been found? I really appreciate the app being shared for free, but would like to remove the extra entries from my hub, now that I've uninstalled the app. Please let me know how this can be resolved without wiping the phone, as this is a work device and IT will freak if I wipe it and ask them to go through all the paperwork & admin nightmare to get permission to reinstall the corporate SW and security SW.

Hello,

Yes, please, do NOT use 'Account Cleaner' at any time to solve this issue. 'Account Cleaner' was only meant for one single thing: removing the random notification 'update your account', and that is it. It is not the solution to any hub-related problem (even though the name may be a bit misleading). So please, don't use it for solving this multiple hub entry issues, if you do so, it just messes things up and I cannot do anything anymore.

As for the problem you are having, I made this tool: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2UDdNMUOQRUSVFQcUM2MjhLdFk/view?usp=sharing Please try it out

Hi,

Thank you for the quick response, and potential solution. Please forgive my ignorance, but how do I apply the tool? I downloaded it to both my blackberry & PC, but neither is able to open it.

Thanks.

Hi,

This a BlackBerry 10 application. Top install applications outside the store, you have to 1./ enable the developer mode on the phone 2./ then the easiest way would be to use the chrome web app to install applications : https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/bb10-playbook-app-manager/kmbaalodpmjjhpobkgljnelbpblnikkp 3./ connect your phone via usb to the computer

Then everything is explained in the chrome web app.

As for the tool, there is just one button to tap on.

Hey, thanks for all of the help. I did everything that you said and your tool did remove the "hg10" entry from my hub, however, it did not remove the "s10" entry that the original application made in the hub? I repeated the process, but the "s10" still remains in the hub. Is there a way to resolve this?

amonchakai commented 8 years ago

Well, my application only created entries called "Hg10", so if they are gone, that is good :)

As for the S10, did you installed a client called S10 for slack? https://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/59963147/?countrycode=US&lang=en

I believe I am not responsible for that one. You should ask the developer of that app to do pretty much the same thing as I did.

You can also mention my app and this issue, if he want to ask me some technical details.
