To glide64: Because no one wants to port it - especially the assembler stuff
for 64 bit.
If someone would port the current svn version of glide64 to amd64 and send it
upstream (hopefully they merge it) then we would port it to mupen64plus.
Otherwise someone must find a lot of time to do it.... and this is the
problematic part.

hmm.. so mupen64plus can't load plugins different from its architecture, even
if compatible ones? :'(

(google code should really include editing comments...)
well then, how active is development being done on RiceVideo? or are the devs
planning to ditch it and do a Mupen64PlusVideo plugin or the like?

upstream already supports mupen64+

Oh my. See? They even fixed a bug in Mupen64Plus (which I doubt it has been
patched here, or if it is then the devs most probably found it separately)
Whomever made that possible, THANK YOU :D

The api of mupen64plus 1.5 is incompatible with the api of mupen64plus 2.0. And
this build is only for x86 and not for amd64.
And about what bug are you speaking?

hmmm... I understand--- I guess amd64 is very important to the project. don't
get me wrong, I love mupen64plus, but it seems to be lacking somewhat in video
against PJ64 (which has widescreen, but sadly is closed source)
Anyway, I said that because RiceVideo development seems not active, and
possibly this won't get fixed ( I may be wrong, of course )
what's the status of Rice? is it being actively developed? or are you planning
a new great video plugin for the new API (that would be sooooo niiiiice)

If you want an advanced graphics plugin with such advanced features then you
have to support this campaign to reach more than 10000 dollar (7000 already
gathered): https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/gliden64-graphics-plugin
