Greek dialytika&tonos combination #98

Category
Usability enhancement suggestion

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install & configure app
2. Switch to greek layout
3. Try to input ΐ or ΰ

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Accented characters in greek are normally typed by typing the accent followed
by the unaccented letter. Sequential press ´ then ¨ (or vice-versa) before a
ι or υ doesn't work. Long-press accent button: only individual diacritics
(tonos, dialytika) are presented, and not the dialytika/tonos combination) as
well.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest, on 3.2 and 2.3.4

Please provide any additional information below.
The combination diacritic can only be applied to lowercase iota (ι) and
upsilon (υ). The ΰ/ΐ characters are only possible by long-press of the
corresponding unaccented characters. Some greek layouts allow a sequence e.g.
´¨ι=ΐ others a combination e.g. Ctrl-Shift-´ and then the unaccented
letter. Even if no such functionality is implemented, long-pressing the
accentbutton should present a 3rd option for the dialytika/tonos combination.

And thanks for contributing such a good app!

MfG,
Leonidas

I've added special handling for this in revision f37ffccacfb5, please try
v1.26rc3 (or later) from
http://code.google.com/p/hackerskeyboard/downloads/list .

You should now be able to use the expected dead key sequence using sequential
press of ´ then ¨ (or the other way around) before the iota or upsilon.

Also, the previous dead key handling was a bit confused, can you please let me
know if the current version works as expected?

Bulk update - changing "Fixed" to "Verified" for old bugs.

(Background: I'm changing the "Fixed" status to be considered open, the next
steps in the lifecycle will be the closed states "FixInTest" and "Verified".
This lets me mark issues as "Fixed" in commit messages without hiding them from
the issue tracker.)
