investor who lobbies vs. lobbyist who invests #129

Going beyond the investor examples in the guidelines, @obo has pointed out that an investor who lobbies and a lobbyist who invests would get the same AMR:

(p / person
   :ARG0-of (l / lobby-01)
   :ARG0-of (i / invest-01))

Is this worth pointing out in the guidelines document? It seems to me that it shows that AMR abstracts away from much of the information structure in English.

right, this is a case of not representing everything. if "bob is a lobbyist", there's a good chance he does it professionally, but we don't represent that part of things. k

Indeed, but it's not just an issue of the professional vs. situational distinction: the roller skater who is wielding an axe and the axe-wielder who is on roller skates do not necessarily indicate a profession, but they differ in what is given vs. new information.

right! we're more about who's doing what to who, with what sort of edged weapon
